The Diversity of 21st Century Teaching and Learning

For many, the phrase “21st Century Skills” conjures images of interactive whiteboards, online collaborative learning environments, and social networks that allow for a constant stream of updates about personal beliefs, actions, and dreams.  But what of the broader context advocated by the Partnership for 21st Century Skills? Join English teachers from across the state and from all grade levels at the fall conference where we will pursue the answers to this essential question and many more that impact our daily responsibilities.

  • The statewide NCETA Fall Conference will be at Wake Forest University, October 22-23, 2010. Follow the Registration link.
  • To find out the details and submit a proposal, follow Conference Information.
  • Enjoy the poetry of Outstanding English Teacher and NCETA member John York.

 NCCAT Connections

Our partners at NCCAT want our members to know that NCCAT provides free housing, food, programming, books, and also pays for the substitute.  The teacher only needs to arrange to get to Cullowhee, take care of lesson plans for the substitute, and get his or her principal’s permission.

The NCCAT experience is available for all NC public school teachers who have more than 3 years in the classroom.
